This week in Home and Away, the Paratas’ luck only gets worse in the aftermath of the kidnapping when a car mows down Ari (Rob Kipa-Williams) in the middle of the road. Left battling for his life, Mia (Anna Samson), Tane (Ethan Browne) and Nikau (Kawakawa Fox-Reo) are told that if he does wake up, he may have suffered from permanent brain damage.
Elsewhere, Mackenzie (Emily Weir) is battling with indecision over her pregnancy, but makes a choice after an encounter with Ari. Plus, Ryder (Lukas Radovich) is left confused after Chloe (Sam Barrett) exhibits some behaviour which is completely out of the ordinary.
Here’s what’s coming up over the next week on Home and Away.
Ari’s life on the line after being hit by a car
Ari has been left heartbroken after Mia and Chloe left the house following the shock kidnapping. However, his concerns are blown out of the water after a car targets him in a deliberate hit and run, leaving him lifeless in the road. Although he’s rushed to hospital by Nikau and Bella, Christian (Ditch Davey) notices he’s got a bleed on the brain and the diagnosis looks grim…
Mackenzie makes a decision about her pregnancy
Mackenzie has recently told Dean (Patrick O’Connor) about her pregnancy bombshell, and her brother is disappointed to learn that she has no intention of telling Ari. When he bumps into Ari, he finds out that his relationship with Mia also didn’t work out, so he tries to encourage him to at least patch things up with Mac. When Mac sees Ari in the Surf Club, he gives her a heartfelt apology and Mac is reminded of the love she once had. Will this impact her decision about whether or not to keep the baby?
Christian gives Marilyn paranoia about her health
After Lewis (Luke Arnold) makes it clear he doesn’t have any faith in Christian’s ability, the neurosurgeon begins to doubt himself as well and begins to get paranoid he may have missed symptoms in his other patients. When he sees Marilyn (Emily Symons) being clumsy in the Diner, he begins to suspect he’s missed something after her recent fall. Tori (Penny McNamee) does her best to shut him down, but Christian begins asking Marilyn so many probing questions she begins to get incredibly panicked…
Tane delivers some violent justice, Parata-style
While he’s waiting at the hospital for Ari’s diagnosis, Tane receives a text from Paul (Jack Finsterer) gloating about the hit and run. He decides it’s time to take matters into his own hands and makes plans to leave. Nikau tries to stop him, but Tane has a one track mind. He finds where Paul is hiding out and drags him out of his car to deliver some justice, Parata-style…
Ryder is confused by Chloe’s surprising move
Despite some tender moments during their kidnapping, Ryder and Chloe have returned to their hostile relationship in its aftermath. However, after an emotional day when the Paratas find out about Ari’s hit and run, Nikau heads to bed with Bella and leaves the pair alone in the house. Ryder gets up to leave, but Chloe gives him a heartfelt thankyou for his help during the kidnapping, before giving him a gentle kiss…
Martha goes missing after discharging herself from hospital
Alf (Ray Meagher) has been struggling with not being able to see Martha (Belinda Giblin) while she’s in hospital, but his frustrations turn to panic after he receives a call informing him she’s gone missing. He searches the Bay high and low with Roo (Georgie Parker), Marilyn and Ryder, discovering his wife’s secret caravan for Kieran (Rick Donald) in the process. Meanwhile, Irene (Lynne McGranger) is about to head out to work when a wild-eyed Martha appears at the door with no shoes on…
Susie pressures Justin and Leah to take out a private loan
Justin (James Stewart) and Leah (Ada Nicodemou) have recently been disappointed by their attempts to get a bank loan so they can purchase a house, but Susie is determined to find them a solution. She suggests they go for a private lender so they can woo the banks with a bigger deposit. After hearing her phone call with a ‘friend’ of hers, we’re left wondering: is Susie everything she appears to be?
Willow and Ziggy plan to get Bella back onside
Willow (Sarah Roberts) has recently returned to the Bay, with one of the many new developments since her absence being her friend Ziggy (Sophie Dillman) starting a relationship with Tane. Aware of his dodgy past, which almost cost Ziggy her job, Willow makes it clear she doesn’t approve and the pair are frosty for a while. But it isn’t long before the pair realise they miss each other, and Willow explains her decision about Colby (Tim Franklin).
