Two more campmates have left I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! and with just two days to go, who will be crowned the winner?
AJ Pritchard and Sir Mo Farah were the latest celebs to be eliminated from the series leaving – Shane Richie Giovanna Fletcher, Vernon Kay and Jordan North – to battle it out in the final.
Elsewhere, Shane taught Sir Mo Farah how to talk and walk like Phil Mitchell, and well, we couldn’t love him any more if we tried.
Giovanna, AJ and Jordan finally got their treats from home after AJ and soap star Jessica Plummer completed the Castle Coin Challenge.
While AJ also addressed the tension in camp between him and Shane.
Here’s the rundown of last night’s episode, just in case you missed anything.
Sir Mo is officially Phil Mitchell
During Wednesday’s instalment, to pass the time Shane, who used to play Alfie Moon in the BBC One soap, recreated an EastEnders scene with Sir Mo.
And in order to do that, Shane had to teach the Olympian how to walk and talk like Phil, who was played by actor Steve McFadden.
Sir Mo followed Shane around the campfire as he perfected his walk and accent, yelling lines like, ‘Alfie, this is my manor.’
‘He’s moving along nicely with the East End accent. I reckon if we’re here for another couple of days, he could be a new reg in the Queen Vic,’ Shane commented.
Speaking about his new ‘role’, the Sir Mo added: ‘I learned some more cockney from Alfie. I just remember Phil Mitchell telling someone off or him not being happy with someone.’
He’s just the gift that keeps on giving.
Giovanna, AJ and Jordan get treats from home
After AJ and Jessica completed the Castle Coin Challenge, rather than picking a fruit platter for the campmates, Jessica decided to choose the treats from home.
The camp were asked by Kiosk Cledwyn how many stars have been won by camp so far. Their options were 141 or 121.
The group opted for 141 and got it correct.
Jessica read out AJ’s message from his girlfriend Abbie, who had sent him chocolate.
Speaking about getting his message and treat, the professional dancer said: ‘It was that lift I felt like I needed, that warmth, that hug that I can’t get right now.’
Vernon read Giovanna’s message from her husband Tom Fletcher who joked about wanting her to take the kids so he could sleep.
‘It’s really special to receive it. I did think it was something that was long gone,’ Giovanna explained.
Shane read Jordan’s message from his mum and dad, telling him to believe in himself.
‘I genuinely thought that ship had sailed,’ Jordan said in the Telegraph. ‘And then when I got out of here I’d ask my mum what she’d said. I never expected it today. I’m so glad I got it in camp.’
Two more campmates are given the boot
It’s the end of the road for AJ and Sir Mo as they were eliminated from the castle.
Speaking about his experience, AJ told Ant and Dec: ‘It feels like a celebration coming out of there, I am so happy for them and it’s nice coming out with Mo, friends for life definitely.
‘There are so many memories in such a short space of time, you go through it daily but one day feels like a week, it’s nuts.’
Addressing his time on the show, Sir Mo began: ‘I’ve definitely missed Amani, Aisha, Hussein, Rhianna, and my wife Tania. Part of me was like, “Can I challenge myself?”.
‘I’ve watched this show over the years and all I ever wanted to do was go in and challenge myself.’
‘I tried my best, and I enjoyed myself really. I was amongst amazing people and that made it easier because we were just having a laugh and challenging ourselves,’ he added. ‘It’s been an amazing journey, and I wouldn’t change one thing.’
Wednesday night’s showdown saw the elimination of opera singer Russell Watson and soap star Jessica.
On Tuesday journalist Victoria Derbyshire and soap star Beverley Callard were both booted from the camp.
Sunday night’s episode saw West End star Ruthie Henshall leave the series, while Paralympian Hollie Arnold was voted out last week.
The final is just days away, but who will be crowned the winner?
AJ talks about the tension in camp
AJ finally addressed the elephant in the room as he discussed the tension between him and Shane.
The pair initially had a disagreement over the washing up, but then things simmered between them once again when new camp leader Giovanna announced AJ and Jessica had replaced Shane with the cleaning.
Making light of the switch, the former soap star jokingly threw his tins on the floor after finishing his meal – and, well, the look AJ gave him said it all.
Speaking to hosts Ant and Dec after his exit, AJ spoke about why he got a bit frustrated with the Shane.
‘Was it frustrating at times when some people weren’t pulling their weight,’ Dec quizzed.
‘Maybe, I’m not going to lie,’ AJ laughed. ‘If you’re going to do a job do it properly it’s much easier for everybody else.’
Dec couldn’t help but push AJ a bit further by bringing up the tension between him and Shane again, as he added: ‘On the whole 99.9%, everybody got on the only strain we saw this year was between you and Shane.’
‘I think the thing is resolving problems rather than letting them fester,’ the dance pro responded.
‘Shane was really ill sometimes and we would go through different journeys each day, we’d have highs, lows and I think everybody helped everybody. There’s no negativity.’
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! airs daily at 9pm on ITV.
