A pizza restaurant has built Britain’s first pizza vending machine as a lockdown work-around.
Bristol-based Pizza Bella now distributes a variety of fresh stone-baked pizzas which can be ordered via a touchscreen on the restaurant’s new vending machine.
Patrons only need to wait three meagre minutes for their meal, and they don’t have to interact with a single member of staff.
That means the risk to both staff and customers is reduced.

Pizza Bella, owned by Sina Kiaei, has made what is the second pizza vending machine in the UK, with the first having been built on the Isle of Man.
They announced the vending machine’s arrival on the restaurant’s official Facebook page.
The post read: ‘Don’t let the Lockdown get you down!
‘Get out for a walk and try a hot and fresh pizza through our user-friendly Pizza Vending Machine!’
The vending machine works by storing partially cooked pizzas until someone orders one, it’s heated in one of two ovens and sent through the pizza-shaped letterbox into the customer’s hands
If patrons don’t fancy going outside, the restaurant is still taking orders online and over the phone.
