Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) could well leave the eponymous village in Emmerdale, after she receives her decree nisi, but will a heated showdown with Cain (Jeff Hordley) result in her staying put?
Moira receives her decree nisi in upcoming scenes, and to say she’s broken would be a bit of an understatement.
She breaks down in front of friend and business partner Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry), informing her that her marriage is beyond saving.
Meanwhile, Cain has things on his mind when Chas (Lucy Pargeter) suggests he get revenge on Jamie Tate (Alexander Lincoln) for everything he’s put Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) through, and thus he sets off to do just that with a metal pipe in hand.
Sam (James Hooton) is horrified when he realises what Cain is set on doing, and therefore informs Moira, knowing she’s the only person who will be able to make Cain see sense.
Moira heads off to confront Cain, and she proceeds to do just that — reminding him of how awful the guilt was when he thought he’d killed Joe (Ned Porteous) two years ago.
The hard-man thinks about what Moira has said, but both he and Moira are taken by surprise when Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb) locks them in the barn.
With tensions running high and emotions aplenty, Moira and Cain confront their feelings and discuss the breakdown of their marriage.
What they say to one another remains to be seen, but if Moira is given yet another indicator that her marriage is beyond salvaging, will she perhaps up sticks and leave?
