Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) struggles to come to terms with her actions in Emmerdale, and therefore takes drastic moves in order to cover things up.

In scenes which aired this week, Charity was worried about her relationship with Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick), and soon came to believe that her other half was having an affair.

She soon found herself in the company of a mysterious man, and passion ensued, but not all was as it seemed, as she discovered that the man in question was none other than Moira Dingle’s (Natalie J Robb) brother, Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb).

Next week, Charity is in something of pickle following recent events, and — in the cafe — she attempts to acquire as much information as she can on Mackenzie.

After confiding in Cain (Jeff Hordley), she tells him that she needs Mackenzie to back her up in saying that the kiss meant nothing.

She acquires the ammunition she needs into order to convince Mackenzie of such a thing when she witnesses him in the process of stealing Jamie Tate’s (Alexander Lincoln) new flash vehicle.

Yes, she uses what she saw to blackmail Mackenzie, promising to tell Jamie if he doesn’t back up her story to Vanessa.

However, while it might appear as if Charity has the upper hand, she’s unaware of the fact that Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh) overheard the whole thing, and naturally, she disgusted.

What will Tracy do with such information?

What’s more, will Charity’s blackmail actually work or will it backfire?
