Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami) was heartbroken when he lost everything at the hands of the Panesars during a rigged poker game – set up by Suki (Balvinder Sopal) and Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton). But as the EastEnders favourite is crushed and tries to pick up the pieces, can he prove that Suki cheated?
And if he does expose her, will he regret crossing her again, given how ruthless she has proven to be?
On their way to work, Martin Fowler (James Bye) is remorseful that he didn’t stop Kush during the poker game.
He asks Ruby if she told Suki anything about Kush’s gambling beforehand but Ruby deflects. With Kush feeling awful, he asks Suki if they can sort something out for sake of the kids but she won’t budge – a bet is a bet.
Kheerat (Jaz Keol) is aware that his mum’s poker skills didn’t come from her playing a fair game while Kush is also adamant that Suki set him up.
But as he tries to defend himself, he is later forced to admit to Stacey and Kat Slater (Lacey Turner and Jessie Wallace) that he has a serious problem.
But for Kat, this could come too little too late as she heads out with a man from work. A broken Kush breaks down, aware that he has lost everything.
Has cruel Suki finished him off or does she have further plans to make the family suffer? And when Kush prepares to fight back, will she find another way to get rid of him?
With Davood leaving his role as Kush next year, it doesn’t seem like a happy ending is likely in this story.
