Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton) makes a life-changing decision in Emmerdale, as she decides to take off her dog collar and give up being the local vicar.
In the wake of recent events, Harriet’s life has crumbled before her.
Her affair with DI Malone (Mark Womack) tore her family apart, and the bent copper’s refusal to leave well enough alone forced Dawn (Olivia Bromley) to take drastic action, as she killed him.
Harriet stepped in to help, and — together — they covered up the murder, burying the villain in the graveyard.
With Willl having discovered some degree of the truth, Harriet’s life continues to fall apart, as her beau reveals that he’s finished with her.
With emotions running high, Harriet reveals that she’s quitting as vicar — a revelation which leaves Dawn in complete and utter shock.
The young woman Dawn pleads with her to reconsider — reminding her that she needs to remain a vicar in order for them to keep a watchful eye on Malone’s burial spot.
A conflicted Harriet then tears off her dog collar, and is full of self-loathing — but will Dawn’s advice have any effect?
Will Harriet give up her calling?
