Strictly Come Dancing’s Anton Du Beke has expressed it would be ‘difficult’ to quarantine away from his family during the upcoming new series.
The professional dancer, who’s married to wife Hannah with whom he shares children Henrietta and George, revealed the programme could see contestants spend up to a month in a hotel together away from their relatives amid the coronavirus pandemic.
‘Potentially, we will end up in a hotel for a couple of weeks or a month,’ Anton said.
‘That’s what has been spoken about and has been provisionally pencilled in.’
He continued to Hello! magazine: ‘Everything else is contingencies but we’re waiting for instructions and the situation is massively fluid at the moment so we will see what happens.
‘It will be lovely to be with my Strictly family – they are terrific and I love them all – but without Hannah and the children will be difficult, especially after having all this time together.
‘I’m hoping we’re not going to have to do it but we will wait and see.’
Last week, it was reported that Strictly Come Dancing pros will isolate in a hotel together for two weeks so they can film the group dances.
They will start recording the performances in a small studio next month and be joined by an equally small crew, sources claimed.
In a bid to get the popular BBC show on the air as the country continues to deal with the coronavirus pandemic, bosses have allegedly told dancers to start rehearsing the routines at home ahead of the isolation period.
The group dances will be filmed all at once and spread out over the upcoming series, according to The Sun.
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One later this year.
