Stranger Things season four is ‘done,’ according to its writers’ room.

Well, the scripts are anyway.

The Netflix hit had its filming for the new season postponed earlier this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, but that clearly hasn’t stopped its creative minds continuing the work.

Taking to Twitter, the official account for the show’s writers posted a picture of some very thick-looking scripts piled up on a table.

‘Stranger Things 4: The Complete Season,’ the account tweeted alongside the picture.

Fans will certainly have a lot of questions going forward into the new run of episodes – will Eleven (Millie Bobbie Brown) and Will (Noah Schnapp) ever return to Hawkins? Has the Mind Flayer finally been defeated? How is Hopper (David Harbour) alive?!

Hopefully, all these questions and more will be answered in the new season – well, we hope so anyway.

The writers’ room of the sci-fi epic have a bit of a track record for keeping fans on their toes during production of new episodes.

Previously, they teased us all with a cryptic post asking: ‘are the kids alright?’

Well, we really, really hope so, let’s be honest.

David Harbour recently admitted that the show’s new series did have a release date, but this has now been pushed back thanks to coronavirus.

Season three breakout star Maya Hawke also talked about being ‘depressed and confused’ following production shutting down due to the growing nature of the global pandemic.

Stranger Things is available to stream now via Netflix.
