Elon Musk has denied that he had a ‘three-way affair’ with Cara Delevingne and Amber Heard.
It has been alleged in a deposition from one of Amber’s friends in her ex-husband Johnny Depp’s lawsuit against her that the trio spent the night together in November 2016.
However, Musk, 48, has now hit back at the allegations, and also denied that he was involved with Heard, 34, while she was still married to Depp, 57.
In a statement to Page Six, the Tesla mogul said: ‘Cara and I are friends, but we’ve never been intimate. She would confirm this.
‘Also, I wish to confirm again that Amber and I only started going out about a month after her divorce filing. I don’t think I was ever even in the vicinity of Amber during their marriage!’
Musk, who recently welcomed a baby with Canadian singer Grimes, added that he hopes that everyone involved ‘[buries] the hatchet and [moves] on’.
He said: ‘Life is too short for such extended negativity. Nobody is going to say, after it’s all over, that they wished the court battle had lasted longer!’
Delevingne, 27, has yet to comment on the deposition.
Musk dated Heard on and off from 2016 to 2018, following his split from wife Talulah Riley.
In a video from November 2019 acquired by DailyMail.com, Josh Drew, the ex-husband of Amber’s close friend Raquel ‘Rocky’ Pennington, was grilled about the actress’s relationship with Musk and Delevingne.
Attorney Benjamin Chew asked : ‘Did Rocky tell you that Amber Heard was having an affair with Cara Delevingne while she was still married to Johnny Depp?’
Drew replied: ‘Yes.’ He was then asked: ‘Did she ever tell you that the three of them – Elon Musk, Cara Delevingne – spent the night with Amber in November of 2016?’, with Drew saying he didn’t know the specific date.
Depp’s legal team asked: ‘Did she ever tell you in words or substance while Amber was still married to Johnny Depp, that the three of them, Amber Heard, Elon Musk and Cara Delevingne, spent the night together?’, with Drew saying ‘yes’.
Chew asked if they were having a ‘three-way affair’, with Drew – who lived rent-free in one of the neighbouring apartments that Depp owned – replying: ‘My understanding, yes.’
Drew has since split from Pennington, but has socialised with Heard as recently as last year, and the deposition states that the actress is paying for his attorney.
The website also published pictures of a woman, who they claim resembles Ms Delevingne, in the elevator to Depp’s penthouse in late 2016, although the images do not have a time stamp.
In a 2017 deposition, concierge boss Trinity Corrine Esparza aid that the trio went ‘up and down’ in the elevator before Thanksgiving in 2010.
A representative for Amber Heard declined to comment when contacted by Metro.co.uk.
Aquaman star Heard is being sued by her ex-husband Depp for defamation for $50million (£40.1m), in relation to an op-ed she wrote for the Washington Post about being a survivor of domestic abuse.
Depp is not mentioned in the piece, but the actor alleges that Heard’s op-ed ‘depended on the central premise that Ms. Heard was a domestic abuse victim and that Mr. Depp perpetrated domestic violence against her’.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star has alleged that he was abused by Heard, while the actress has repeated her allegations of abuse against him.
The case has been delayed until next year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Heard filed for divorce from Depp in May 2016 after 15 months of marriage and obtained a temporary restraining order against the star.
She alleged that he was physically abusive during their marriage; Depp has denied these allegations.
