Costa Coffee has teamed up with fizzy drink giant Coca-Cola to create a range of cola-flavoured coffees. The new hot drinks launched in China last month and a cold brew version will be released there within weeks. Although it has yet to launch here, Brits are already commenting on it on social media. “How disgusting is that! Coca-Cola is disgusting enough without making it ruin good coffee,” said one. But another said: “That sounds crazy. I'm in.”

The people who haven't heard of Covid-19

Thousands of migrants arriving in Somalia have never heard of Covid-19, says the United Nations. Monitors for the UN migration agency quiz ask all arrivals a set of questions, including whether any in their party has had the coronavirus. In the week ending June 20, just over half — 51% — of the 3,471 people tracked said they had never heard of it.

Durian fruit pong hospitalises postal workers 

The terrible odour of durian fruit coming from a package at a German post office put six workers in hospital and caused 60 others to be evacuated. Police and firefighters were dispatched to Schweinfurt in Germany after fears the package contained a dangerous gas or a harmful substance. However, it turned out to be the south-east Asian fruit, which smells because of high levels of sulphates.
