Heather Locklear is engaged to long-time boyfriend Chris Heisser, according to new reports.
The Melrose Place star, 58, and Chris, 58, have been ‘engaged since the end of April, as they were celebrating her year of sobriety’, a friend told People.
The source added: ‘They are really happy together. Her family, her parents, her siblings, and her daughter are all supporting her and excited for her.’
Heather has daughter Ava, 22, from ex husband Richie Sambora, who she was married to from 1994 until 2007.
Prior to that, Heather was famously married to Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee from 1986 until 1993.
Heather and Chris had been ‘high school sweethearts’ and reconnected in 2017, but their relationship was on and off as she battled substance abuse and entered rehab.
Photos also emerged this week of Heather wearing a diamond ring on her wedding finger and a mask which read ‘I’m smiling’ as she stepped out in Los Angeles.
Heather has recently celebrated one year of sobriety, with sources telling People she is now ‘in a great place’ and spending time gardening, cooking and taking walks.
They explained: ‘She’s strong and clear-headed. She cooks for herself, Ava and her parents.
‘It’s very sweet. Her dad is close to 91, and her mom is in her 80s, and she delivers food to them often.
‘It’s really amazing to see how she managed to turn things around.’
Heather had pleaded no contest to eight misdemeanour counts in 2019 relating to her two arrests in 2018, and was reportedly placed on an informal three-year probation and completed a court-ordered 30 days in a private rehab facility.
She shared the news of her sobriety on Instagram on 21 April, writing: ‘Hugs will come later! 1 year sober today!!!’
