The UK’s death toll from coronavirus now stands at 40,883 after another 286 people died from the virus.
As of 9am on June 9 5,870,506 people have been tested for Covid-19, with with 102,930 tests on June 8. The number of people who have tested positive is 289,140.
Meanwhile, zoos, safari parks and drive-in cinemas can reopen in England from June 15 in the latest move to relax coronavirus lockdown.
