Another 149 people in the UK lost their lives after testing positive for coronavirus, bringing the total national death toll to 43,230 on Thursday.

These figures, announced by the Department for Health and Social Care, include fatalities in all settings including care homes and the wider community.

Meanwhile, videos have shown how trains travelling to beauty spots were also crowded during yesterday’s hot weather, making it impossible for people to socially distance.
