Billie Eilish has been granted a permanent restraining order against a man who turned up to her house multiple times.

The Bad Guy star had previously been granted a temporary restraining order against Prenell Rousseau, but Los Angeles County Superior Court judge Dianna Gould-Saltman has extended it for three years.

The man had repeatedly visited Billie’s home in Los Angeles, even sitting on her porch to read a book.

The 24-year-old man from New York appeared at Billie’s home, which she shares with her parents, seven times on 4 and 5, Sky News reports.

He had rang the doorbell on the first occasion and asked Billie’s dad whether she lived there via a surveillance camera, and despite being told he had the wrong house, he still returned later in the evening.

Her family called their private security service and the man was arrested for trespassing on their property.

TMZ reports that despite California residents being told to wear a face covering while outdoors to prevent the spread of coronavirus amid the ongoing pandemic, the man also wasn’t wearing a face mask and was touching the doorbell and doorknob without gloves, too.

He is now banned from attempting to contact Billie, 18, or coming within 100 yards (91 metres) of her or her parents.

The restraining order also bans him from assaulting or harassing her or her family or getting close to her workplaces.

In court documents, Billie said: ;While we waited for security, Mr Rousseau remained on our porch, sat down and began to read a book, while also continuing to engage in a periodic monologue.

‘My father repeatedly asked him to leave, but he refused.’

Billie had been granted a temporary restraining order last month but it has been extended to be a permanent one lasting three years, after the judge hears the man hadn’t attempted to contact her after those two days.

Her legal team at McPherson LLP where hoping the restraining order would be for five years instead of three, but it still can be extended or amended if a judge deems it necessary in the future.
