Tom Parker fans took to social media in their droves on Sunday night, as they showed their support for the Wanted singer.

The Channel 4 documentary In My Head saw him open up about his future after being diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour.

‘I don’t want people to treat me different just because I’ve got something, I think that was always on my mind,’ he said in emotional scenes.

He continued: ‘I do feel like I’m in a much stronger place, but it’s so hard to think about the future. Do you know what I mean?’

The film proved emotional viewing for many fans, who watched him spend time with his wife Kelsey, one-year-old Bodhi and two-year-old Aurelia Rose.

The singer told fans he had been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour in 2020.

The performer, who is now 33, was diagnosed with glioblastoma.

Since he was diagnosed, Tom has undergone 30 rounds of chemotherapy and 30 radiotherapy sessions.

Things are looking more positive recently, as he is hoping to be ‘cancer-free by March’ as he continues to battle the brain tumour.

He told The Sun: ‘You’ll always be classed as terminal. They give you 12 to 18 months of survival. But that’s the general statistics. Everyone we’ve spoken to has been way, way beyond that.

‘Now, we’re aiming to be cancer free by March. That’s the aim. This disease is always there. You might have residual cells but just not active. So, we’ll just carry on, just crack on and see where we get to.’

Tom Parker: Inside My Head is available to stream on catch-up on All4.
