A man who is accused of stalking Taylor Swift has been arrested in the vestibule of her New York apartment building.
TMZ reports that 28-year-old Patrick Nissen had travelled to New York from his home in Nebraska by bus to track down the singer.
Law enforcement sources told the site that the man had been charged with a misdemeanour for second-degree criminal trespassing after being found in her building without permission.
The man had been caught after he entered the building in Tribeca though an unlocked door but was spotted by a security guard.
The guard realised that Nissen did not have permission to be in the building and phoned police, who arrested him at the scene.
TMZ claims Nissen allegedly told police he was in love with Swift, who was not home at the time, and is said to have photos of her on his Instagram page.
Police sources claim this is not the only time alleged stalkers have tried to see the Reputation star at her apartment complex.
As well as her flat in New York, Swift also has properties in Rhode Island and Los Angeles, which have all been targeted by unwanted visitors, with several men being arrested outside her homes.
In April, a 52-year-old man was also arrested outside Swift’s home in New York after attempting to enter the building, claiming to police that he had spoken to the star in Instagram.
According to The Daily News, the man also has a restraining order that prevents him from contacting Bella and Gigi Hadid.
Swift previously revealed she had to hire security 24/7 to protect her as people kept finding out where she lived.
