Liberty Poole appeared to be having doubts about her partner Jake Cornish in a preview at the end of Wednesday night’s episode of Love Island.

However, viewers believe not everything is as it seems as they think she may be involved in a secret task.

The couple are the favourites to win this year’s series according to the bookies, but Faye Winter, 26, and Teddy Soares, 26, and Millie Court, 24, and Liam Reardon, 21, have also been hailed as possible champions.

However, Liberty, 26, appeared to grow less fond of Jake, 24, after finding out about the boys’ time in Casa Amor when he told the other guys to treat the visit like ‘a lads holiday’ and pursue the new girls.

In reference to his recent behaviour, a teaser for Thursday night’s episode showed Liberty saying: ‘If he is he’s not the one for me. If he’s taking me for granted he’s not the one for me.’

She added: ‘I just feel like I’ve been having a rocky week,’ prompting Chloe Burrows to comfort her.

Unable to believe what they were seeing, viewers took to Twitter to ponder the possibility that Liberty could have been given a secret task to carry out in the villa.

One show fan wrote: ‘Secret challenge for liberty tomorrow “convince one of the girls you’re having doubts about Jake.”‘

‘Nah I’m feeling like this Liberty and Jake thing is a challenge…she was pure smiling when she hugged Chloe,’ shared someone else.

Meanwhile, others thought the infamous Twitter challenge could make a comeback with tweets from viewers being used to expose Jake.

One person wrote: ‘Finally Liberty is coming to her senses!!!!! WE NEED THE TWEETS CHALLENGE.’

‘Unfortunately, its very obvious from the preview its a Twitter or headline challenge, which means Liberty will quickly move past this and stick with Jake,’ wrote someone else.

Someone else posted: ‘Liberty was smiling when Chloe hugged her. I think it is just a challenge. Do not get your hopes up.’

Love Island continues on Thursday on ITV2 at 9pm.
