Love Island star Priya Gopaldas surprised everyone by coolly asking for a selfie mere seconds after she pied off Brett Staniland.
Their pairing was heading to the rocks over the past couple of days as Priya confessed to the other girls that she found him ‘boring’ and he gave her ‘the ick’ during their dinner date.
She felt they were two different people and that Brett was more like her dad (???) or a friend rather than boyfriend material.
Priya decided to put a pin in their relationship for good in scenes that went out on Monday night, and while it wasn’t a massive surprise, it was her actions shortly after that stunned people as she said to Brett after dumping him: ‘Shall we take a selfie?’
She even made a sad face and everything as they posed together for the picture. Unreal.
Their time in the villa was short-lived as they were later sent packing by the public.
However Priya’s sudden selfie moment will stay with viewers for a while judging by the reaction on Twitter as people let the memes and jokes fly.
Sitting down for a heart to heart before being dumped, Priya said: ‘After today I feel like I’m still feeling the same as I did after the date.
‘It’s really unfortunate because I literally thought that this was perfect. I just feel like there’s just something that is missing, and I feel like maybe I’m the kind of person who just wants more fun.
‘I feel like you’re more reserved, a little bit in your shell, I would have to be the one to pull you out.’
Brett told her: ‘In here we’ve only had serious situations, from my perspective, I don’t want to say it’s been a burden but I feel like I had a lot of responsibility to make us together as happy as possible and it’s getting a bit draining on my headspace and exhausting not having anything back at all.’
He added: ‘If you think something’s missing, something’s missing. We don’t even need to put our finger on it.’
However after leaving the villa, he admitted he is still open to a romance – but only if Priya puts the graft in.
Love Island continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2.
