Tommy Moon could prove instrumental in bringing Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) back to Walford, as he makes contact with a mystery woman in upcoming EastEnders scenes.
The little lad, who has become an internet sensation after Harry Redknapp retweeted a video of him playing footie, sparks concerns next week regarding his activity online.
Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) is perturbed by his search history, and therefore she sets out to get answers, as she questions Lexi Pearce.
Lexi ultimately comes clean, revealing that Tommy has been speaking to a woman online, which naturally leaves Kat worried.
The mainstay of the BBC One soap wastes little time in confronting her son, questioning him over the messages, and the identity of this mystery woman.
When Tommy fails to give her the answers she’s looking for, Kat decides to remove all of his devices as punishment.
But this does little to solve the problem.
Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) later takes Tommy out for the day after Kat asks that she does so, but disaster strikes, as she returns to the launderette without the young boy, frantically explaining that he’s run off to meet with a woman in the playground!
Kat drops what she’s doing and heads off to find her son, but her search proves fruitless, leaving her panicked.
Callum Highway (Tony Clay) is called in to assist in the search, but it’s ultimately Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) who comes to the rescue, after she reveals that she saw Tommy in the park.
Kat, relieved, heads off to retrieve her son, but her joy is short-lived when Tommy reveals who he was meeting with.
The question is: who is it?
While we don’t know for sure, one can’t help but wonder if Tommy is perhaps making contact with Janine?
Viewers will know that Tommy is the biological child of Michael Moon, who was married to Janine.
What’s more, Janine had a daughter with Michael named Scarlett, who is Tommy’s sister.
Viewers have been long wondering what it is that brings Janine back to the Square, so has this interesting plot development at last shed some light?
One to watch: Friday August 27 at 8:35pm on BBC One.
