Brendan Fraser is continuing to make his return to the limelight by boarding Martin Scorsese’s new film Killers of the Flower Moon.

Reports claim he will appear in the director’s latest Apple TV drama, starring Robert De Niro, based on the mysterious murders of members of the Osage tribe in the 1920s.

The actor is on a roll at the moment as he is also said to have landed a part in the comedy Brothers which is currently being filmed in Atlanta, according to Deadline.

The film’s plot is still being kept under wraps but Brendan joins a cast that includes Josh Brolin and Glenn Close.

The much-loved 90s star made a rare public appearance at the premiere for No Sudden Move earlier this year, joining cast mates David Harbour and Jon Hamm at the screening in New York.

The 52-year-old also has another gig with a prestigious director lined up as he is set to star in Darren Aronofsky’s father/daughter dramedy The Whale, playing 600lb recluse Charlie, who is looking to re-connect with his daughter after his coming out led to their estrangement.

Brendan was best known for his roles in The Mummy trilogy as well as Bedazzled and Looney Tunes: Back In Action.

However he all but vanished from the big screen in the ’10s and stayed firmly out of the spotlight until 2016, landing a role in The Affair as John Gunter.

In an interview with GQ he revealed that a string of injuries sustained doing stunts over the years meant he was in and out of hospital for seven years.

The star eventually needed a partial knee replacement, a laminectomy and vocal cord surgery.

He also suffered personal tragedy, losing his mother and splitting from his wife of nine years Afton Smith.

Over the last two years though, the star has begun to return to television and film.

In 2018, he starred in Danny Boyle’s drama Trust, and voiced Robotman in Titans and Doom Patrol.
