Piers Morgan and Nigella Lawson have led the commiserations to the men’s England team after they lost out to Italy at the nail-biting Euro 2020 final tonight.

The tense game went to extra time and then a penalty shoot-out to decide the winners after the teams were level at 1-1 after extra time, but it was Italy who came out on top.

Celebrities have been behind the players all day today, with many coming out in full force to back them before the game kicked off.

Kate Moss and her daughter Lila strutted down to Wembley in England shirts, while Tom Cruise and David Beckham were seen fist bumping after Luke Shaw scored the first goal of the match.

And now, despite their loss, they’re still standing beside them and have voiced their praise for Gareth Southgate and the rest of the team for making the country proud.
