Love Island viewers were left stressed after switching over from the football to watch Love Island, only to find out they would have to wait another day for the dramatic recouping they were promised.

The show had promised that an Islander would be dumped as new bombshell Teddy Soares got to pick a girl to couple up with.

The recoupling will be the boys’ choice this time around, with one girl being dumped after being left unchosen.

Fans had already had a stressful evening as the show overlapped with England’s Euro 2020 final against Italy, so were less than impressed when the episode ended on a cliffhanger, with the dumping being pushed to Monday’s show.

They took to Twitter to share their frustration, tweeting: ‘Not them literally teasing the biggest part in the teaser in the lats minute of the episode… I don’t like the way producers are organising the episodes.’

Others added: ‘F**k of course we gotta wait tomorrow for the recoupling’ and ‘I knew they would do that.  After teasing Teddy for like 3 days’.

Earlier in the show, Teddy had joined the villa and taken four girls on a date – Faye Winter, Sharon Gaffka, Rachel Finni and Kaz Kamwi.

All four had been interested in dating Teddy, with Rachel even turning the chat to all things sexual on their date.

Liam Reardon and Millie Court had also shared their first kiss in the villa after seeing Faye, who Liam was coupled up with, chatting to Teddy.

Millie said in the Beach Hut: ‘It’s nice to do something about the connection we’re feeling. It was a good snog and I can’t wait to snog him some more.’

The couple then cemented their romance by sleeping outside together on the day beds together.

Love Island continues on Monday at 9pm on ITV2.
