Sharon Osbourne has claimed Sheryl Underwood is trying to ‘destroy [her] reputation’ after her The Talk co-host claimed Sharon never reached out after their on-air clash.

Former The X Factor judge Sharon, 68, has left daytime chat show The Talk following an uncomfortable row with Sheryl, 57, over Piers Morgan.

Speaking on her podcast about the drama, Sheryl claimed that she and Sharon had not spoken since they faced off on set on March 10.

When asked if Sharon had reached out to apologise, the comedian said: ‘No’, and scrolled through her phone history to support her claim.

However, Sharon has now accused her former colleague of trying to destroy her reputation, and shared messages she purportedly sent to Sheryl since March 10.

The star told DailyMail.com: ‘I not only sent these messages to Sheryl but I apologised to her in person in her dressing room.

‘Why are you saying I never apologized Sheryl? What are you trying to do to me?

‘Why are you trying to destroy my reputation? Just be honest. Tell me.’

Messages shared with the publication, purportedly sent to Sheryl, appear to show Sharon messaging her two days after the show on March 12, and again on March 15 and March 18.

The screenshots read: ‘Sheryl, My heart is heavy and I’m deeply saddened by the events that transpired on Wednesday.

‘I don’t want to lose my true friend over this. Im sorry for telling you to f*** off during break, I’m sorry for accusing you of fake crying while we were live on air and I’m sorry for losing my temper with you.

‘I felt shocked, scared and saddened by what felt like was a blind sided attack. You know me. You know how I’ve always had your back. We’ve outlasted everyone on this show and that’s because we’ve always been a team and had each other’s backs.

‘I consider you a genuine friend. If you want to talk on the phone over the weekend I’m here. Once again from the bottom of my heart I’m sorry.

‘Is there anything You need from me or that I can do to help you heal? Love and respect always – Sharon.’

Sharon reportedly reached out under two times saying she was ‘thinking about’ Sheryl.

All three messages reportedly went unanswered.

The pair clashed on The Talk in a discussion about Piers Morgan’s comments on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey – comments which led to his departure from Good Morning Britain.

Sharon stood up for her friend, saying: ‘I very much feel like I’m about to be put in the electric chair because I have a friend, who many people think is a racist, so that makes me a racist? What does it gotta do with me?’

Getting increasingly emotional, she said: ‘I will ask you again Sheryl, I’ve been asking you during the break and I’m asking you again, and don’t try and cry ‘cause if anyone should be crying it should be me.

‘Educate me. Tell me when you have heard him say racist things.’

Sheryl explained: ‘It is not the exact words of racism, it’s the implication and the reaction to it.

‘To not want to address that because she is a Black woman, and to try to dismiss it or to make it seem less than what it is that’s what makes it racist. But right now, I’m talking to a woman I believe is my friend and I don’t want anybody here to watch this and think we are attacking you for being racist.’

Sharon has since departed The Talk, which she had appeared on since 2010.
