Jan (Di Botcher) finds herself getting deeper and deeper into trouble in tonight’s Casualty, as her son Ross (Chris Gordon) is still expecting her to smuggle drugs into the prison.
In case Jan is in any doubt about the kind of people she’s dealing with, an encounter with them leaves her wife Ffion (Stirling Gallacher) lying unconscious. Terrifyingly, Jan is warned that if she doesn’t keep supplying drugs to the prison, even worse will follow.
What Jan really needs is a friend, and when the HEMS team are called to a prison incident alongside the paramedics she sees a familiar face – former paramedic and Casualty favourite Iain Dean (Michael Stevenson). But when the two first set eyes on each other, Jan is in the middle of another drugs drop. How will Iain react when he finds out the full extent of the mess that Jan is in? Surely he won’t turn his old friend in to the authorities?
Elsewhere, Rosa (Jacey Salles) is behaving strangely around Ollie (Harry Collett) as he recovers from his choking incident (and Grace’s improvised surgery). Can David (Jason Durr) get to the bottom of what’s bothering her?
Tensions are high between Dylan (William Beck) and Lev (Uriel Emil), as the fallout from Dylan’s brief affair with Faith (Kirsty Mitchell) continues to upset them both. Dylan decides he needs to let Faith go – but will it be so easy?
The patient of the week story involves Gail (Laurie Brett), who’s ready to give up her entire life for a man who’s on the run from prison.
But is he just using her, as her husband insists? When two of the three end up in hospital, it’s time for them to find out what they really want from life.
