Trish Minniver (Denise Welch) made quite an entrance in Hollyoaks, but viewers are set to learn a lot more about her in the coming episodes.
Maxine (Nikki Sanderson) was stunned when Trish arrived in the eponymous village, and told her that she was moving there.
However, it was the revelation that she’s dating Brad King (Tom Benedict Knight) — aka Maxine’s new landlord that previously tried it on with her — that left Maxine really spooked.
In spite of the evident animosity between them, the mother and daughter duo have made amends and promised to start anew, but there could be trouble brewing, as we finally learn more about the newcomer.
Maxine isn’t pleased when Trish asks her for money once more, and therefore Verity Hutchinson (Eva O’Hara) offers her colleague some advice, suggesting that her mum should open ‘Trish Minniver’s School Of Dance’.
It appears as if Trish is keen on the idea, as she and Maxine celebrate when a banner for her new venture arrives.
However, it soon comes to light that Trish left her last dance school under a cloud.
The question is: what happened?
That remains to be seen, but there’s more trouble ahead, as Brad offers to fund the project — but Trish and Maxine have no idea about the sinister man’s true intentions!
Trish is determined to find a venue for her dance studio by the end of play, and Maxine comes up with an idea when she spots an advert for a space to rent in Salon De Thé.
Meanwhile, with Cher Winters (Bethannie Hare) and Romeo Nightingale (Owen Warner) determined to start their own business, Cher reveals she’d like to run a salon, and thus asks Marnie (Lysette Anthony) if she could start a pop up in Salon De Thé.
Marnie ultimately decides to put Trish’s dance school and Cher’s salon up against eachother, but who will come out on top?
Trish does herself no favours, that’s for sure, as she insults Marnie’s dance skills, leaving Cher adamant that she’s going to win.
But just who will pick up the victory?
One to watch: Wednesday February 10 at 7pm on E4.
