Taya Valkyrie has said goodbye to IMPACT Wrestling and she could be set for WWE.

The longest reigning Knockouts Champion in history – who held the coveted title for 377 days from January 2019 to January 2020 – looks to have made her final appearance with the company on Tuesday night in the culmination of the wild ‘Who shot Johnny Bravo?’ storyline.

She was revealed as the one who set up Larry D. to shoot John E. Bravo during his wedding to Rosemary last year.

On last night’s show, Taya was ‘taken into custody’ as detective Tommy Dreamer quipped she would be heading to Jacksonville State Prison – referencing AEW – if she was lucky, but she would probably end up at Stamford Maximum Penitentiary, which was a nod to WWE for two years with a third-year option.

As she was leaving, Rosemary confronting her and asked why she didn’t tell her what she did.

Taya didn’t have answer, but said their friendship was one of her biggest accomplishments in IMPACT, before they shared an emotional embrace.

After the show, she took to Twitter and seemingly confirmed her departure while admitting it was an emotional moment for her after making her debut for the promotion in 2017.

She tweeted: ‘I’m not crying, you’re crying’.

Previous reports suggested Valkyrie’s contract recently expired but she agreed to work the promotion’s Hard To Kill pay-per-view over the weekend.

She lost to current Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo at the event on Saturday, which marks her final IMPACT match.

Currently, there is no confirmation on where the Canadian star will go next, although obviously her departure suggested WWE, AEW and even Ring of Honor are all options.

There have been rumours of her heading to the former, as her husband John Morrison is on the Raw brand after leaving IMPACT Wrestling himself in 2019.
