Faye Windass (Ellie Leach) makes a huge decision in Coronation Street tonight (January 18), as she decides to come clean to the police.
Viewers will know that Faye was the one who attacked Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) last month.
It was a case of mistaken identity, as she believed the young man to be Ray Crosby (Mark Frost), who’d tried to rape her on the night in question.
With Gary Windass (Mikey North) currently behind bars for the crime, Faye has been riddled with guilt, and she ultimately revealed the truth to dad Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) during Friday’s episode.
Tim suggested that they move to Spain, and in tonight’s double-bill, he and Sally (Sally Dynevor) bicker about the prospect of such a move.
Faye can’t listen to the pair’s argument any longer, and therefore she heads out. She ultimately struggles to keep shtum, and therefore opens up to Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) about everything.
Craig reels, but he’s ultimately very supportive, and encourages her to hand herself into the police station.
Faye does just that, and as she’s quizzed by the police about the attack on Adam, she explains that she only attacked the solicitor because she thought he was Ray.
Meanwhile, Tim berates Craig, and accuses him using Faye’s situation to his advantage in order to obtain a promotion.
Back in the interview room, Faye continues to explain what happened on the night in question, revealing that Ray had attempted to rape her.
Coronation Street continues Monday January 18 at 7:30pm on ITV.
