Coronation Street spoilers: Double murder shocker, suicide tragedy and Fanny mystery

There are devastating scenes in Coronation Street as Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) gives up on life and says his goodbyes – but can anyone get through to him.

Elsewhere, there could be more death as villain Ray Crosby (Mark Frost) is missing and police want answers.

Speaking of wanting answers, Gail Rodwell (Helen Worth) is searching for Fanny.

Monday January 25 Part One

As Debbie swears blind that she didn’t know anything, Roy reveals the chairperson has been arrested. Ray has done a disappearing act. Meanwhile, Abi’s ordeal comes to light and Debbie claims to have no idea what she was dealing with. But is Ray dead – and was Debbie involved?

Aggie confides in Ed that she is worried Michael will propose to Grace. Aggie gives Grace both barrels and tells her Michael is better off without her. When Michael returns, he races after Grace, who disappears towards the tram station.

Ken sets about circulating a photo of Peter, asking them to stop serving him alcohol as he is ill – but it doesn’t work.

Gail finds a box of family photos and she looks at a loose photo of a lady called Fanny.

Monday January 25 Part Two

Sally reveals that Ray’s application has fallen through – their houses are all safe.

Adam suggestes to Ken and Tracy that they take it in turns to tail Peter when he is out. It doesn’t stop Peter getting drunk.

Grace accuses the police offer confronting Michael of racism. Pleading with Grace, Michael returns home and tells Aggie Grace is moving in.

Gail searches a geneology website for Fanny.

Wednesday 27 Part One

Peter sits down and pens a letter to Simon and tells Carla he forgives her for sleeping with Adam. Peter has come to accept he is dying so Carla reads out the letter to Simon. Carla begs Peter to save himself before it’s too late.

Gail confides in Nick that she has traced Fanny as her great great Grandmother. She arranges to meet someone who also claims to be related to Fanny. However it soon transpires that it’s George.

Debbie tells Sally and David that their houses are safe. The police later demand answers from Debbie about Ray.

Paul reveals he is looking forward to an evening with Billy, Todd forms a plan. Grace moves in and is soon sniping with Aggie.

Wednesday January 27 Part Two

Carla implores Peter to stop drinking and prove his love to Simon. Ken is horrified and finds Peter drunk in a hotel bar – and Peter lashes out. He breaks down and admits he doesn’t know how to give up the alcohol.

Debbie tells the officer that she found Abi unconscious and thought she had overdosed. She then persuades Kevin to let her sell the garages back to him – and he can keep the money.

Gail and George realise they share a set of great grandparents. Mary and Eileen are unimpressed to see George fawning over Gail. Gail and Eileen soon square up to each other…

Aggie and Grace pretend to get along for Michael’s sake.

Friday January 29

Hour long episode.

Ken discovers Peter suffering a seizure and he is rushed to hospital. The doctor suggests reducing alcohol slowly. Carla meets up with an old face and when Peter tells her to stay away – and she heads to a hotel with Lucas. Roy urges Peter to make things up to Carla before it’s too late. Peter asks Carla not to go with Lucas – but what will she do?

David admits to Shona that buying the house back may not be as easy as it sounds. Tracy overhears this – and she tells Debbie that David can’t afford to buy back No.8 and she’d like it instead. David is left in a panic.

Todd fumes to see Billy and Paul so happy together. Will calls Paul and begs to help – when Paul kills the call, Billy is proud.

Dev confides in Nina that Asha is still brooding over Corey. As they study together, sparks fly between Nina and Asha.
