Tess Daly is busy ‘feeding up’ her husband Vernon Kay after his two stone weight loss following his stint in the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! castle.
The couple were finally reunited in the early hours of Sunday morning and the Strictly Come Dancing presenter is pulling out all the stops to make sure her hubby is well nourished.
Taking to Instagram Stories, Tess shared a snap of a hearty bowl of chicken soup with slices of buttered toast.
‘Chicken soup at bedtime… feeding him up,’ she captioned the snap.
Over the past few weeks, I’m A Celebrity fans watched as the campmates struggled to prepare squirrel, eels and cuttlefish, pined for chocolate and chowed down on meagre portions of rice and beans.
And after 21 days in the castle, the restricted eating took its toll on finalist Vernon, who revealed he lost 30lbs while on the show.
Luckily, Tess made sure the fridge was fully stocked in preparation for Vernon’s return back home.
‘Vern told me he’s lost 30lbs in weight,’ she penned on Instagram. ‘So I’ve been shopping to get some of his fave foods ready for his return… mostly meat, chocolate, and of course his favourite @yorkshiretea bags.’
Tess, 51, rifled through her shopping bags, which contained pancetta, bacon rashers, meatballs, pasta, baked camembert, pasta and a Turkish delight.
Although Vernon had arrived home on Saturday, he was forced to sit tight until Tess had finished filming Strictly Come Dancing before he could see his spouse.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday, Tess shared an adorable snap of the pair back together again.
‘After almost 5 weeks away (2 and a half in isolation before going into the @imacelebrity Castle) it’s so good to have him home ❤️,’ she shared.
‘Now it’s time to get that Christmas tree up…!’
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! is available to stream on the ITV Hub.
