Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) certainly isn’t one for giving up in Coronation Street, and therefore she sets about hatching a new plan in the wake of the 60th anniversary week.
The celebratory week sees the residents of the cobbles unite in an effort to stop evil Ray Crosby (Mark Frost) from demolishing the eponymous street.
They succeed in halting the bulldozer, but their joy is short-lived when a massive long-arm digger turns up.
Things soon spiral out of control, as Ken Barlow (William Roache) stands in the bulldozer’s path, and Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) jumps into the cab of the digger but loses control of the long arm — knocking out all the power in the surrounding streets!
What happens next remains to be seen, but the week that follows sees Debbie attempt to persuade Gary Windass (Mikey North) to reconsider withdrawing the sale of Underworld.
However, Gray refuses to do business with Ray, calling him a sex pest.
Debbie is fuming, but she gets her thinking cap on and devises another plan — informing Ray that antagonising the residents of the street is getting them nowhere.
Ray, however, is furious with Debbie regarding her revised plan, and informs that from here on out, he’ll be making the decisions.
What does Debbie’s devilish new plan entail?
