Strictly Come Dancing’s Giovanni Pernice and Ranvir Singh have been burning up the dance floor – but pals are denying romance rumours.
The Good Morning Britain reporter and professional dancer have sparked belief of a relationship from fans, after Ranvir split from her husband just before the show started.
After an intense and passionate Argentine Tango to Prince last weekend, where they were millimetres away from kissing at the end of the song, viewers have gone into overdrive.
Even her GMB co-star Piers Morgan noticed the chemistry, and on Monday declared on air he ‘almost got burned by the steam coming out of his TV screen.’
But, according to pals, not only are they not together, they’re getting annoyed at the amount of attention.
‘The romance viewers think they see between them is just for TV,’ a source told The Sun.
‘They have forged a close friendship but there isn’t a spark like that between them.
‘Both of them are getting tired of the rumours.’
Giovanni has previously dated former celebs who have starred on the show- coupling up with Hollyoaks’ Georgia May Foote in 2015 and dating for a year, dating Towie star Jess Wright in 2017, before getting together with Pussycat Dolls’ Ashley Roberts at the end of 2018.
He split with Ashley in January this year, with the pair releasing a statement saying the break-up was amicable as they focused on their own careers.
Ranvir has previously spoken out about rumours she was the next in line though, declaring it to be a ‘bloody miracle’ if she were to get together with her dance partner – who has even been seen serenading her mid-routine.
She told The Mirror: ‘Giovanni is so amazing, he doesn’t need me to be sensational. He sizzles all by himself. It doesn’t matter whether I’m in the room or not, he’s sizzling away.
‘The dances are all about being romantic and, of course, we have to make them convincing.’
Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday at 7.15pm on BBC One.
