Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) is already off Ben Mitchell’s (Max Bowden) Christmas card list but now he could be set to transfer over to his kill list as Callum Highway (Tony Clay) discovers that the Walford weasel was the one to report the heist to the police.
The heist was a pretty shambolic idea in the first place but Ian certainly didn’t help matters by forewarning the boys in blue after an argument with Ben. And now, as a result, Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadoomi) is living a cramped life in Whitney’s (Shona McGarty) constantly inhabited attic.
DI Thompson, everyone’s favourite corrupt copper, is running out of patience when it comes to his only joy in life – getting Phil incarcerated. Are there no other crimes going on in London, pal? Surely someone must be breaking lockdown.
The kind of man who would lead a Christmas Day break in to ruin a family dinner, Thompson won’t let it go and Callum is finding it harder and harder to delay the inevitable.
Callum is sent through the 999 call which led to the police discovering the heist and he has never been less impressed to hear Ian’s voice, a major displeasure at the best of times.
Callum now has a decision to make, knowing exactly how Ben will react if he finds out the truth.
Will he tell Ben? And will Ben take the ultimate revenge and be the one who leaves Ian for dead?
He could go ultra grim and stick to his favourite murder weapon of choice, walloping Ian down with a photo frame of Lucy.
Or is that a bit dark even for EastEnders?
