Days Of Our Lives star Cody Longo was arrested for domestic assault after a row with his wife, it has been claimed.

The 32-year-old – who starred as Nicholas Alamain on the show – was reportedly taken into custody last Thursday, in Clarksville, Tennessee.

TMZ states he was released on bail for $2,500 (£1,905), ahead of an arraignment next week.

Clarksville Now reported that he accused his wife of being ‘unfaithful’ when he returned to their home ‘intoxicated’.

They allegedly started arguing and it ‘turned physical’.

His wife reportedly told police officers that he ‘shoved her in the face’, with her neck and jaw feeling ‘sore’.

Officers responding to the scene did not note any bruises on her body, according to TMZ.

Longo has not spoken about the claims publicly, but a source told Metro.co.uk: ‘These allegations are false and we expect Cody to be cleared of any wrongdoing.

‘It was all a misunderstanding. This is a family matter and we ask that you respect their privacy.’

The Bring It On: Fight To The Finish actor has been with his wife for five years, and there have been no prior reports of violence between them.

This is not Longo’s first brush with the law, as he was previously arrested while driving in LA in 2013.

He was pulled over by police officers and charged with driving under the influence, after a test showed that he was more than twice the legal limit.

Longo avoided jail time due to a plea deal, the publication reported, and was placed on a three-year summary probation and completed three months of alcohol education classes.

Metro.co.uk has contacted Cody’s reps for a comment.
