Seth MacFarlane says ‘fool’ Donald Trump is no superhero: ‘I don’t know any with that body’

Seth MacFarlane didn’t hold back in his scathing critique of Donald Trump, stating the president is no superhero with ‘that body’.

The Family Guy creator reacted to the highly-mocked video of the US president arriving back at the White House after receiving hospital treatment for coronavirus. The video has stirred controversy with Trump seen saluting on the White House balcony alongside drone shots and dramatic music.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Seth said: ‘I don’t know any superheroes with that body.

‘To me he just looks like a fool, they all look like fools. They’ve made a political statement out of not wearing a mask which is insane. It’s medical advice… And they shunned it so of course they got sick, it’s crazy.’

‘It was inevitable, there’s no surprise there,’ he added.

Sharing his opinion on the state of America ahead of the presidential election on November 3, Seth said: ‘It’s bad. For me the immediate problem, the thing that occupies my mind and keeps me up at night, the most is the American response to the virus and how effective it is really depends on this election.

‘The states can’t unify themselves and that’s what they’ve had to do to this point because Trump doesn’t care, he just can’t do his job.’

Seth, 46, went on to praise Democratic candidate Joe Biden who he believes will finally ‘unify’ the country after four years of political unrest during Trump’s presidency.

The comedian later revealed how he’s been keeping busy during the pandemic and told hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid: ‘It gave me a chance to catch up on some writing, some projects I’ve not had time to get to because I’ve been so busy filming Orville and the animated shows.

‘But now it’s surreal, I have this stockpile of scripts that I don;t know when will be filmed.’

Seth was also asked about narrowly avoiding the terrorist attacks of September 11 after missing his flight.

However he admitted: ‘I’m the most disappointing guy to talk to because coincidences do happen and this was a coincidence, pure and simple. So this wasn’t the first flight that I’ve missed… This was just one in a long list.’

He then recalled: ‘Strangely my thoughts at that moment were more about what was to come. I remember thinking, wait a minute, these guys were in the airport, did they leave a party favour here, we should get the hell out of here.

‘Again, I’m not somebody who believes in fate or checks my horoscope. It’s that old thing, if you cross the street two minutes early and you get hit by a car, you just never knew.’

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV at 6am.
