They might not have won Love Island USA last month but Cely Vazquez and Johnny Middlebrooks have been named the highest-earning couple of the series.
According to a new study by Worth Paying For: Reality TV Voting Habits, the series two runner-ups can earn thousands of dollars per post based on their Instagram following.
The duo could rake in over $3,169 (£2,449) per sponsored post, based on the calculation that every follower earns influencers an average of $0.0043.
The study claims Johnny brings in the majority of the couple’s social media income with potential earnings of $1,634 (£1,262) per post, while Cely contributes $1,535 (£1,186).
Johnny potentially brings in $100 (£77) more per post and that is partly helped by the fact he’s posted more product endorsements and shoutouts than his partner since leaving the villa.
So this makes them the most valuable partnership over the series’ historic winning couple, Justine Ndiba and Caleb Corprew.
But Justine and Caleb are making bank too as the study states their collective earnings are $2,675 (£2,067) per sponsored post.
While Moira Tumas and Calvin Cobb could be bringing in a joint $1,595 (£1,232) per Instagram ad.
We’re sure those numbers will keep rising now their back from the Las Vegas ‘villa’.
Love Island USA airs on CBS in the US and is available to stream on ITV Hub in the UK.
