Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) and Chas Dingle’s (Lucy Pargeter) relationship is on the rocks in Emmerdale, but will the pair ultimately go their separate ways?
It became apparent to viewers during the Chas and Paddy lockdown episode (June 22) that there was something not quite right in the couple’s relationship.
Chas was seemingly more aware of this than Paddy, and audiences were left wondering if there could be trouble ahead.
Unfortunately, there is trouble for the pair’s romance — and plenty of it — as more conflict ensues in the coming episodes.
Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) resolves to get assistance form Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards), as he plots to help Paddy and Chas get back on track.
However, a huge argument ensues between the couple, and Chas storms out as a result — leaving Paddy to look after Eve.
In the Zen gardens, the Woolpack landlady spots Al, who’s attempting to hide from Rishi Sharma (Bhasker Patel) behind a bush.
Chas finds the whole thing rather amusing, but Al soon deduces what’s going on with her, as he suggests that — much like he — she is also hiding from someone.
Chas comes to the realisation that Al is right, and that makes her unsure of whether to laugh or cry.
The pair subsequently flirt with one another as they talk about their partners, and it becomes apparent that Chas enjoyed herself afterwards.
Later, on the anniversary of Grace’s passing, Chas visits her daughter’s grave an reflects on her marriage to Paddy.
Will Chas and Paddy break up?
Could this truly be the end of the road for them?
Or will Chas come to realise that the relationship is worth fighting for?
