Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew) has no allies left after his true colours were exposed and, now that he has lost the control that he craves, he is more unpredictable than ever in Coronation Street. And soon he has Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) and his girlfriend Nicky Wheatley (Kimberly Hart-Simpson) in his sights.
Daniel recently snatched an envelope of cash that Geoff had left at the solicitors’ office and he offered the money to Nicky when he thought she could use it to pursue the future she wants after she was badly beaten by a client during her sex work.
Geoff initially blames Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) for the theft but he soon realises that she couldn’t have been the one to take the cash – so his intentions turn to Daniel and Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson), who he tells he is going to go to the police.
As the truth about what Daniel did comes to light, Geoff is enraged and he tells the police that he wants Daniel to feel the full force of the law even though he offers to pay back the money in full.
Geoff sees him chatting with Nicky and witnesses her handing the money back to him, saying she doesn’t need it and the monstrous villain forms a vicious plan.
We all know how aggressive and violent Geoff can be, particularly towards women, so is the abuser set to make Daniel pay in the worst possible way by attacking Nicky?
He made Elaine (Paula Wilcox) disappear recently – so could Nicky face the same fate? And is Daniel set to lose another person he loves as Geoff strikes again?
