Mitch Baker (Roger Griffiths) is determined to get to the bottom of what happened to Chantelle Atkins (Jessica Plummer) in EastEnders, but will he seek revenge on Gray (Toby-Alexander Smith) as a result?
Mitch has had his doubts about Gray in the past, in spite of everyone thinking that the solicitor is the perfect husband.
Therefore, he might be more inclined to question whether Gray is telling the truth about the night Chantelle died.
We know that — this week —Mitch comes face to face with Kheerat Panesar (Jaz Deol) and questions him in regards to how he knows that Chantelle wasn’t happy with her husband.
He becomes hellbent on getting to the truth — and will seemingly do anything it takes to get some answers.
Actor Roger Griffiths, who portrays Mitch, said: ‘He’s devastated. The worst thing is losing his child but then the layers of how he lost that child and why he lost that child.
‘And when that becomes hazy, there’s an inner rage and an unrest that happens. It doesn’t matter if it’s years after, he is still going to be in that no-man’s land, where he is wondering what happened.

‘It’s the unknown. And he won’t rest, his spirit won’t rest until something makes sense. Because no-ones coming forward with any sense. It’s just nonsense.’
‘He’s just in shock. He’s in disbelief and in denial because he can’t believe that she’s dead. The first thing that he asks is how did it happen?’
The big question is: if he does, in fact, discover that Gray murdered Chantelle, will he seek revenge on the solicitor?
Could he perhaps kill Gray?
