Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) struggles with the guilt of murdering Chantelle (Jessica Plummer) in EastEnders, but will he come clean as the day of her funeral arrives?
Gray killed Chantelle earlier this month, and sinisterly used his skills as a solicitor to successfully cover up his tracks.
However, the guilt over what he’s done starts to sink in, and that — coupled with the preparation he’s doing for Whitney Dean’s (Shona McGarty) trial — is proving to be incredibly difficult.
He meets with a colleague, who wants to take him off the case, but he’s adamant that he needs to carry on doing what he’s doing.
However, the day of Chantelle’s funeral is also the day that Whitney’s trial commences, leaving him with a dilemma on his hands.
Whitney argues that Mackenzie and Mia need him, and therefore he needs to attend the funeral, but little does he know that she’s terrified of facing court without him.
Gray’s decision remains to be seen, but as the day of Chantelle’s funeral arrives (October 8), the abuser struggles to hold it together.
Will he come clean and reveal that he killed Chantelle?
Will Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley), Mitch Baker (Roger Griffiths) and the rest of the Taylor/Baker clan get the answers they’re so desperately in need of?
One to watch: Thursday October 8 at 7:35pm on BBC One.
