David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) in Coronation Street has been facing a new challenge as of late as he attempts to reconnect with Shona (Julia Goulding) who lost her memory after the Christmas Day shooting.
As much as the two of them try to gel and get back to how they used to be, they haven’t had huge amounts of luck, and coming up David will be left wondering whether giving up on Shona is something to consider after daughter Lily (Brooke Malonie) is put in deadly danger.
In the café, Nina (Mollie Gallagher) tells David that Shona always seems more upbeat when he’s around. Buoyed by her words, David arranges to take Shona for a walk but it doesn’t quite go to plan.
Shona then spends the day with David in the salon causing problems with customers. David manages to bite his tongue, and later he leaves Shona in Victoria Gardens with Lily while he goes to buy ice lollies for the kids, but things soon take a dangerous turn.
Because of the effects of Shona’s injuries, she sometimes acts younger than her age, so when Lily is left in danger, will Shona even realise the extent of the situation? And when David returns to see his daughter in trouble, will the event cause him to question his future with Shona?
