Carole Baskin makes Dancing With The Stars debut to Eye Of The Tiger and we can’t stop watching

Carole Baskin finally got to make her Dancing With The Stars debut over in the US and, boy, she did not disappoint.

The Tiger King star, 59, is one of the 15 celebrities starring on the new season of the dancing competition and is partnered up with professional dancer Pasha Pashkov.

And for her first ever performance, Carole decided to keep on brand and danced her way through a rendition of Eye Of The Tiger – of course she did.

The Big Cats Rescue owner took to the floor in a tiger print dress and her trademark floral headband and was seen kicking off the routine by releasing partner Pasha, who was aptly locked in a cage with a huge fake tiger.

Carole clawed and pawed her way through the paso doble and seemed to have an absolute ball while doing so, despite her debut falling a little flat with the judges.

The pair were given just 11 points, leaving them at the bottom of the leaderboard following Monday night’s opening show.

Carole received four point from judges Carrie Ann Inaba and the same from Derek Hough, who is replacing Len Goodman this season, and told Carole he thought she ‘smashed it’ on the dance floor.

Bruno Tonioli was a little less generous and gave Carole three points, with the Strictly Come Dancing star telling Carole she has plenty of room to improve on her moves.

‘You’ve got claws all the time, I thought you were going to dislocate your shoulder,’ he joked. ‘For me you didn’t quite kill the paso doble, it was kind of sedated.’

Bruno continued: ‘But, I want to hear your roar. It didn’t pop the way it should, but I’m sure you’ll be back next week.’

Seeming slightly speechless after her performance, when host Tyra Banks asked Carole if she ‘tapped into her inner tiger’, the star simply nodded back at her.

Fans also saw the likes of Nelly, Cheer coach Monica Aldama, Jesse Metcalfe, Catfish’s Nev Schulman, Backstreet Boys star AJ McLean and Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Stause take to the floor.

The first elimination of the series will air next week on Tuesday 22 September.

Dancing With The Stars airs on ABC over in the US.
