Braun Strowman revealed his new look on SmackDown this week as WWE’s resident monster took another turn.
The Universal Champion confronted Alexa Bliss in the culmination of Friday night’s show, storming the ring to address his former tag team partner and “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt.
With a new attitude, Strowman also looked the part with his head shaved completely bald as he was seen for the first time since being dragged underwater in the Swamp Fight at Extreme Rules.
Instead of being faced by The Fiend at the end of last night’s SmackDown, he was met by Little Miss Bliss who urged him to snap out of his new mindset, but he accused her for mocking and using him.
She tried to slap some sense into him, but the Monster Among Men lived up to his named as he hoisted her up for a gorilla press as the lights went out and The Fiend appeared.
He joined Bliss in the ring but Strowman has disappeared, before being shown laughing and screaming on the big screen as The Fiend laughed along too and the show came to a chilling end.
The fresh look for Strowman comes after everyone who has faced the terrifying entity in WWE has transformed or never been seen again.
From Finn Balor and John Cena to The Miz and Daniel Bryan, clashing with The Fiend always changes the competitor in what has been a brilliant piece of storytelling from a company usually criticised for their lack of longterm continuity.
Braun’s attitude – complete with a simple but effective image overhaul – does enough to continue that trend, especially combined with his apparent disregard for Alexa Bliss despite the threat of The Fiend.
