A man who was preparing to propose to his girlfriend set his flat on fire with hundreds of tealight candles. The Sheffield man lit them all before leaving to pick up his girlfriend, but when they returned the flat was on fire. A South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said no one was injured and “she still said yes”.
Police find dead husband's bones in pensioner's luggage
Police at a German airport searching a 74-year-old passenger’s wooden box found that it contained the bones of her dead husband. However, after customs officials, a doctor and prosecutors were consulted, the authorities concluded that no crime had been committed, according to local media.
Man breaks underwater Rubik's record to inspire students
A 25-year-old teacher in India set a new Guinness World Record when he solved six Rubik’s cubes in 2min 17sec, while completely underwater. Illayaram Sekar broke the record for most Rubik’s cubes solved underwater in a single breath, previously held by an American. “I want to inspire my students to do more,” said Sekar.
