Kanye West has thanked his parents for ‘letting me live’ as he gave fans a glimpse at unseen baby pictures.

The Stronger rapper is thought to be in the Caribbean with wife Kim Kardashian and their four children, taking some time to heal together after a tough few weeks for the family.

And the 43-year-old took a trip down memory lane, sharing a sheet of photos of his parents holding him as a newborn baby.

Alongside the snap, shared on Twitter, he simply wrote: ‘Thank you God and mum and dad for letting me live.’

Kanye recently opened up about his parents while appearing at his first presidential rally in South Carolina last month, during a discussion about abortion and Planned Parenthood.

He made it clear that he was anti-abortion at the event, suggesting every mum should be paid $1million (£792,000) in a bid to prevent this.

Speaking to the crowd, he said: ‘My mum saved my life. My Dad wanted to abort me…

‘My mum saved my life, there would have been no Kanye West because my dad was too busy.’

The Yeezy designer also claimed that he and Kim considered not going ahead with the pregnancy when the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star was expecting eldest daughter North, in 2012.

Tearing up, he continued: ‘I almost killed my daughter.

‘In the Bible, it says, “Thou shall not kill”. I remember that my girlfriend called me screaming and crying, and I was just thinking, because at that time I was a rapper I was out there, [had] different girlfriends and everything… and she said, “I’m pregnant”. And I said, “Yes!” And then I said, “Uh oh”.

‘She was crying… and for one month and two months and three months, we talked about her not having this child. She had the pills in her hand.’

He said: ‘I’m in the apartment where my wife was actually robbed, and I have my laptop up and I have all of my creative ideas, I’ve got my shoes, I’ve got my next song cover… and the screen went black and white. And God said, “If you f**k with my vision I’m gonna f**k with yours”.

‘And I called my wife and she said, “We’re gonna have this baby”, and I said “We’re gonna have this child”.’

‘Even if my wife wants to divorce me after this speech she brought North into the world even when I didn’t want to. She stood up and she protected that child.’

Kanye then shared a string of now-deleted tweets which left fans concerned, including one alleging he had been trying to divorce his wife of six years since 2018 – as well as branding mother-in-law Kris Jenner a ‘white supremacist’ and likening her to Kim Jong-un.

The Skims designer stood by her husband and shared a lengthy statement addressing his bipolar disorder.

Following this, the rapper later publicly apologised to her, begging for forgiveness over his claims about their private lives.

‘I would like to apologise to my wife Kim for going public with something that was a private matter,’ he tweeted.

‘I did not cover her like she has covered me. To Kim I want to say I know I hurt you. Please forgive me.

‘Thank you for always being there for me.’
