Mitchell Deveraux (Imran Adams) is seemingly in danger in Hollyoaks, as vengeful brother Toby Faroe (Bobby Gordon) seeks to destroy his wedding and get revenge.

The Channel 4 soap will return to screens in a big way on September 7, as the present day will find several of the village’s finest being quizzed by the police in regards to a crime which took place on the day of Mitchell and Scott’s (Ross Adams) wedding.

Viewers will then see what transpired for themselves via a series of flashbacks, which will take us back to the day in question.

The final pre-lockdown episode (July 20) saw Walter refusing to accept that his grandson is marrying a man, and therefore he vowed to put a stop to the wedding.

Next Monday’s instalment (September 7, Channel 4) will pick up from where we left off, as the religious man attempts to follow through on his promise, as he locks horns with Scott.

Mitchell begins to get cold feet, and Toby revels in causing mayhem. However, Celeste (Andrea Ali) is seemingly having doubts about the pair’s revenge plan.

As the grooms are assigned to their room at the venue — Room 13 — Walter and Joel (Rory Douglas-Speed) have a heart-to-heart, but will Joel be able to make Walter see sense and agree to attend his grandson’s wedding?

Scott and Mitchell later walk down the aisle, and Walter arrives in time, but one of the triplets — fuming that Mitchell is once again getting a happy ending — sees red.

Is it Toby?

Mitchell later discovers that Toby attempted to sabotage the wedding by informing Walter about the ceremony before he himself had the chance to do so.

Therefore, animosity ensues.

Later, Mitchell heads for a lie down, but one of the siblings sneak into Room 13.

As Damon (Jacob Roberts) announces that it’s time for the first dance, Mitchell is nowhere to be found.

Has Toby murdered his brother?

Hollyoaks returns on September 7 at 6:30pm on Channel 4, followed by the return of first-look at 7pm on E4.
