Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) finds herself in a life-threatening situation in Coronation Street, as an engine of a car falls on her arm.

Abi found herself unable to say goodbye to Charlie and Lexie after Seb (Harry Visinoni) organised a visit — something which resulted in conflict arising between the mother and son.

In the weeks that have followed, Abi has struggled to come to terms the thought of leaving the twins, and therefore — in the coming episodes — she calls social services.

After said call, there’s plenty of reason for her to smile, as they agree to let her see her kids prior to their departure.

As the day of the visit arrives, Abi promises Seb that she’ll meet him later for the appointment, so that they could say their final goodbyes to Charlie and Lexie.

However, Kevin (Michael Le Vell) heads out to a breakdown, leaving Abi in the garage on her own.

As she works on a car, the engine slips and thus traps her arm.

Meanwhile, Seb desperately attempts to get hold of Abi and ultimately jumps to the wrong conclusion when she doesn’t show up — believing her to have let the twins down.

Later, he calls round to look for Abi — furious that she didn’t turn up to the arranged meeting.

However, he soon learns that she was in a serious accident and is in hospital.

Will Abi be okay?
