Wiley has been dropped by his management company over accusations of anti-Semitism.
The Godfather of Grime’s manager John Woolf said A-List Management had ‘cut all ties’ with the musician following a series of tweets posted by the rapper on Friday.
Mr Woolf, who is Jewish, wrote on Twitter on Saturday morning: ‘Following Wileys anti semitic tweets today we at @A_ListMGMT have cut all ties with him. There is no place in society for antisemitism.’
Woolf had earlier tweeted: ‘Judaism teaches that the concept of forgiveness constitutes one of the most essential fundamentals of the human relationship with God and with each other.
‘I am talking to him privately about this matter.’
In reply to a follower, the manager said: ‘It’s disgusting there are no words to condone what he saying none !!! As I said before I am worried about him and want to get him help.’
He also tweeted that in the 12 years he had worked with Wiley, he ‘can say that he is not anti-Semitic’.
Wiley had mentioned his manager a number of times in his tweets, writing: ‘John Woolf is defo gone now wha ya reckon ? HAHAHAHA’ and ‘John wolf is pulling his hair out hahahahahahaha’.
He also tweeted: ‘When I war with the jewish community I do not lose trust me…ask John Woolf.’
The Campaign Against Antisemitism has asked police to investigate the content and called for Wiley’s accounts to be shut down ‘to prevent further outpouring of anti-Jewish venom’
In a statement issued on Friday, a spokesperson said: ‘Our Crime Unit has reported this matter to the Metropolitan Police Service as we consider that Wiley has committed the offence of incitement to racial hatred, which can carry a substantial prison sentence.
‘We have additionally asked Twitter and Facebook, which owns Instagram, to close down his accounts which have hundreds of thousands of followers, to prevent further outpouring of anti-Jewish venom.’
They added that they would be contacting the Cabinet Office to ask that Wiley’s MBE, which he received in 2018 for services to music, is revoked.
The spokesperson said: ‘Wiley has many hundreds of thousands of followers on social media and we have seen today that many of them truly believe the unhinged hatred that he is spreading.
‘We are treating this as a very serious matter which must be met with the firmest of responses.’
