EastEnders fans can take a trip back in time to 2010, as the iconic Syed (Marc Elliot) and Amira (Preeya Kalidas) wedding episode re-airs on BBC One tonight.
With pre-lockdown instalments having come to an end on June 16, the BBC One soap was forced to go off the air for the first time in its history.
However, in an effort to ensure viewers get a trip to Albert Square, an iconic episode will air each and every Tuesday.
The iconic episodes series launched last month, with the legendary Den and Angie two-hander from 1986, and the classic Sharongate reveal was re-broadcast last week.
Tonight, we’re forwarding the clocks to 2010, to revisit Syed’s wedding to Amira.
The iconic instalment originally aired as the second of two episodes on New Year’s Day on 2010, and it sees Zainab Masood (Nina Wadia) reel after Christian Clarke (John Partridge) reveals the truth about her son’s sexuality — and the passionate affair he’d had with him.
Zainab sets out to confront Syed on the matter, but what will transpire?
Will the wedding go ahead?
Or will Christian’s revelation result in the ceremony not going ahead?
You’ll just have to tune in and find out!
EastEnders: Syed and Amira airs tonight Tuesday, July 7 at 7:30pm on BBC One.
