Mike Tyson has been passing on his wisdom to UFC fighter Henry Cejudo by showing him the secrets behind his devastating uppercut.
Iron Mike is widely regarded as one of the most powerful fighters in boxing history and his left uppercut from close range was one of the most brutal punches in his arsenal.
The 53-year-old is continuing his preparations for a comeback with the help of legendary MMA trainer Rafael Cordeiro.
And after Tyson released a series of training videos last month, fans got another glimpse of the former heavyweight champion’s impressive power inside the ring.
In his latest clip, Tyson explained to Cejudo how to rip into the body with two fast uppercuts and instructed the UFC fighter to keep his head down whilst throwing the punches.
Tyson then gave another demonstration where he followed up his two left uppercuts by ducking under a punch and throwing a sharp right.
Tyson appeared to be impressed by Cejudo as he said ‘perfect’ after the 33-year-old copied the two uppercuts with similar ferocity.
Iron Mike has already announced that he plans to return to the ring to take part in exhibition fights to raise money for charity, although he has not yet found an opponent.
Evander Holyfield, who beat Tyson twice in his professional career, has registered his interest and is also back in training.
Meanwhile, Cejudo announced his retirement after beating UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz at UFC 249 last month.
However, the 33-year-old former flyweight champion, who also won gold in wrestling at the 2008 Olympic Games, said this week that he would come out of retirement to fight UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski.
‘I’ve done everything in MMA. I’m satisfied with my career,’ Cejudo told TMZ Sports.
‘There would only be one fight that would really bring me back, that would really wake me up in the morning – other than Ryan Garcia – it would be Alexander Volkanovski.
‘I want a third title because I want to be different. There’s been a lot of champ-champs, but it’s just to cement it and go into the history books as the greatest mixed martial artist of all time.’
